How yayhop works, from request to doorstep
Every yayhop order follows the same protected flow. You see the full price before you pay, your money is held while the Hopper shops, and it's only released once your order is delivered.
Before you order: find a trip
Hoppers post the trips they're already taking: where they're going, when, the buying window, and how they'll get your items to you (handed over personally, sent by air or sea cargo, or flexible). You can browse trips in the app and see each Hopper's ratings before you request anything.
The six steps of an order
Request an item
Pick items from the Hopper's catalog, or send a custom request with the item name, an optional reference link, and an estimated price. Your request lands with the Hopper as a new request to review.
Get a quote
The Hopper sends you the full price: the items, their handling fee, a delivery fee, and any extra charge (like packaging or a rush fee). You can approve it, or negotiate in the chat until it's right.
Approve and pay
You pay from your yayhop eWallet. The money is held, not sent to the Hopper yet, while they buy your items.
On its way
The Hopper buys your items and marks the order out for delivery, handed over personally or shipped for cross-country and international trips.
Delivered
The Hopper adds photo proof of delivery, and you're asked to confirm you received everything.
Confirm and release
You confirm receipt and the held payment is released to the Hopper. You both get a receipt, and you can rate each other.
What you pay
Everything is in the quote, before you pay:
- The items, priced one by one.
- The Hopper's handling fee, which the Hopper sets for their time and effort.
- A delivery fee, if the Hopper needs to ship or bring the items to you.
- Any extra charge, such as packaging or a rush fee, labeled in the quote.
- A small yayhop service fee, always shown before you confirm. yayhop Premium members don't pay it.
The app is free to download and free to join.
If something goes wrong
- You change your mind before paying: cancel the request. Nothing has been charged.
- The Hopper declines or cancels: the held amount goes back to your wallet.
- There's a problem with your order: tap Report a problem. yayhop support reviews it, and the held payment stays put until it's resolved.
- You forget to confirm: once the Hopper marks your order delivered, you have 8 days to confirm or report a problem. After that, yayhop completes the order automatically and releases the payment. You'll get a reminder before that happens.

For Hoppers: the same flow, from the other side
If you're the one traveling, you post the trip, review requests, send quotes, buy and deliver, and get paid to your eWallet once the buyer confirms. Here's how to earn as a Hopper.
